Maximum of 4 male players on the field of play.
To start a game, a team must have at least 5 players on the pitch, including at least 3 female player.
Squads can have up to 14 players.
Try by a male player = 1 point.
Try by a female player = 3 points.
Defending players can tag attacking players on either side of the attacker's body, without initiating contact or impeding progress.
After being tagged, the player with the ball returns to the "mark" where they were tagged and gently rolls the ball back towards their own team, using their foot.
There is a "Bonus Box" on each try line:
Male player's try in the Bonus Box = 1 point.
Female player's try in the Bonus Box = 4 points (3 + 1).
Mercy Rule:
If a team goes 10 points or more ahead, the Bonus Box becomes null and void to them while they remain 10 points or more ahead.
The conceding team restarts play with a tap-kick from the halfway line when 10 points or more behind.
Diving:
Players are allowed to dive for tries, ensuring the ball is placed on the ground first before elbows or knees.
No swallow dives or deliberate contact.
Referees may disallow diving if deemed dangerous.
Kicking:
Fly-hacking the ball is allowed at any stage of the match.
Tags are not required to kick the ball from the ground.
Kick-Off:
Female players only kick off at restarts.
"Accelerate-Her" Law:
4 girls on the pitch = 4 points per Girl Try.
5 girls on the pitch = 5 points per Girl Try, and so on.
